Mahogany Message: January 5th, 2026
Dear Mahogany Families,
Welcome back! Here’s hoping you and your families have had a wonderful holiday and a fantastic start to 2026. My name is Jill Scarrow, and I am the proud new principal of Mahogany School. I am very grateful to be working alongside Assistant Principal Christine Hewitt and a wonderful team of teachers and staff. I am very much looking forward to getting to know you and your amazing kids!

On behalf of our staff, thank you for supporting the Veteran’s Food Bank in December. There was a significant amount of food donated, and the community of Mahogany’s generosity was evident. Thank you, also, to the families who were able to join the ‘Snowganza’ winter concerts in December. Awesome feedback was shared, and we hope you enjoyed the performances. We sincerely look forward to hosting this year’s Spring Musical. Stay tuned for more information from Mrs. Bourgeios!

We’ll do our best to ‘bundle’ important updates into this weekly message, so we don’t overwhelm your inboxes. School Council Update
Thank you to the newly elected members of our Mahogany School Council Executive. We are grateful for your time and commitment to our school community. I appreciated the opportunity to attend the December 9th AGM to learn about the celebrations, future plans and ongoing issues related to our school community. Lastly, thank you in advance for your patience as I become informed and gather background and important context around our school community.
