First Day of Classes

Our first day of class for students is Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and the school office is open to returning parents on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. 

Kindergarten Staggered Entry

Kindergarten students will begin their school year using a staggered entry allowing students to be grouped in smaller numbers and to become comfortable and familiar with their new school, the kindergarten teachers, and their daily routines. Students are to enter and exit through their regular Kindergarten doors (front door of the school). Please refer to the information below for the times your child will attend. There is no parking for kindergarten drop off and pick up in front of the school. Please find alternate parking/stopping spaces.

Tuesday, September 2: 

All Grade 1-5 Students attend 8:00am-2:30pm

Monday, September 1
Labor Day – No school for all students.

Tuesday, September 2

All Grade 1-5 Students attend 8:00am-2:30pm

Thursday, September 4

All Students Grade K-5 attend

This will be a regular day for all kindergarten students and will follow the regular schedule of AM/PM (See School Calendar for color coded Friday Schedule)

AM: 8:00am-10:50am

PM: 11:40pm-2:30pm

Friday, September 5

All Students Grade 1-5 attend

Kindergarten AM Classes ONLY attend (8:00am-12:00pm)

Early Dismissal at 12:00pm

Assigned Teachers 

Grade 1-5 students, your child's teacher will contact you on Friday, August 29, 2025. At this time, teachers will also share more specific information about their assigned morning meeting spot where they will meet their teacher on the first day of school. Please be patient when waiting for their email. We will have a flexible entry for all students in grades 1-5 next year and they will be able to use any entrance door beginning at 7:45am each day. Kindergarten will have a designated entrance door, the main office entrance, and will meet their teachers outside on the front entrance way on the first day of school. Kindergarten teachers will contact you on Tuesday, September 3, 2025.

School Supplies

Basic school supplies for all Mahogany students will be supplied (pencils, notebooks, scissors, glue, etc.). Student supplies are purchased by the school and provided as part of your school fees. All students will have access to shared supplies in each classroom which are grade appropriate. Classroom teachers may send home lists of optional additional items once school begins in September.  

Items you will need to send with your child:  

  • A backpack large enough to hold a large library book  
  • Indoor shoes (these will stay at school)   
  • Before and After School Students will require an additional indoor pair 
  • Water bottle  
  • Lunch bag/snack bag  

Please label everything you send to school - First and Last name are important so we can ensure clothing is returned to your child.

Volunteer

Registration for volunteering in the classroom/field trips must be done through your MyCBE account. All volunteers are required to have a CBE Police Clearance. You can check in with the school to see what your clearance status is. If you have a volunteer clearance from another CBE school it can be transferred.
