Hello Mahogany Families,

Many of our classes have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather and have been walking to the wetlands with buddy classes over the past week. Research shows that encouraging children to play outside and teaching them how to navigate the geography of their community builds resilience and confidence.

As you move into the spring and summer, we hope you can continue to support your child(ren) to play outside and enjoy the beautiful landscape here in Mahogany!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mike and Christine

School Council / Parent Society

The next School Council meeting will be tomorrow May 6, 2025, at 6:00pm. We would love for you to join. All previous agendas and meeting minutes can be found online.

Parents and community members are important partners in public education. Through school councils, our partners can make significant and meaningful contributions to the learning opportunities provided to CBE students. Meetings are full of useful information about the school, upcoming events, budget, and spending. Meetings will be in person, at the school, and all are welcome to attend.

Ongoing Fundraisers

There are many ways you can contribute to the school's fundraising through everyday initiatives. Check out the list of ongoing initiatives here:

Read A Thon

May 5-23 students will be asked to participate in this school-wide event. The goal is helping students build on their reading skills, foster a love of reading and raise money to support the students at our school. Comprehensive information will be sent out.

Healthy Hunger

Students can order one Fun Lunch (Grade 1 to 5) and one Fun Snack (all students) each month. To order, visit www.healthyhunger.ca and create your account. Orders must be placed 6 days prior to the delivery date.

Fun lunches and Snack days are not possible without the help of volunteers. If you have your CBE clearance and annual volunteer registration, we would love your help.

Skip The Depot

You can donate the proceeds from your empty bottles and cans to our school - NO CONTACT REQUIRED! Simply click the link below to sign up for pickups, set your bottles out the morning of pickup and away they go! All proceeds are given back to the school. Please sign up!

COBS
