Hello Mahogany Families,
I just want to thank all of the Mahogany families, again, and all of the amazing staff here for making me feel so welcome and included. In my seven weeks, I’ve been able to make some very positive connections with staff, students and parents, and I am so thankful to have had this opportunity to work with this learning community. I know Mrs. Kohan, who I’ve been in constant communication with, is very excited to get back to work! Please help me in welcoming her back on Monday!
Most Sincerely,
Mike Hebenton

Updates and Administrivia
Modular Classroom Update
Dear families,
The four modular classrooms we have been expecting will be moved into place next week. During this time, you can expect the following:
- Work will primarily occur on the northwest side of the school.
- The day the modulars are delivered, crews will place them in their designated locations.
- Parking along Mahogany Boulevard and Mahogany Way will be significantly impacted on Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2.
- Once the modulars are fully installed, they will be attached to the school. A corridor is being constructed to allow for direct access to the modulars from the school. A portion of this corridor is already complete and will be finalized after the modular classrooms are installed.
- Throughout the spring, work will continue to prepare the new classrooms, which are expected to be ready for the 2025-26 school year.
While modulars are being delivered, we ask parents/guardians and students to exercise extra caution during school drop-off and pick-up times.
Student and staff safety remains our top priority. The construction area will be securely fenced, and all work during school hours will be carefully managed to minimize disruptions.
We understand these temporary adjustments may cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation. Thank you for your support as we enhance our school community.
If you have any questions about this work, please email facilityprojects@cbe.ab.ca.
Thank you,
Calgary Board of Education
Wonka Musical
We are very excited that the Wonka Musical will be performed this week on Tuesday, April 29! Please reach out to hmbourgeois@cbe.ab.ca (Mrs. Bourgeois) our musical specialist if you require any information.
Bikes at the School
We are so happy that many of our students are choosing to ride their bikes and scooters, to and from school each day, during the nice weather. We would just like to remind all students that when close to the school, please do not ride on the sidewalks to ensure everyone’s safety. As a reminder, bike racks are located at the front of the school and scooter racks are located at the front and the back of the school for daily lock up.
Bus Students
Please, families of students who ride the school bus, notify the office ahead of time, if your child will not be taking the bus at the end of the school day. It can become challenging for our office to track down all students if we haven’t received a note from parents as we do attendance as they board the bus each day. Thank you for your help!
