Hello Mahogany Families,

Winter is upon us! With the snow last night and today, it is feeling like we have all the seasonal feels in place! Every time it snows, I am reminded of the power of nature and that while we do not have control over the snow (timing, amount etc.) we do have control over how we embrace the experience. This morning as I looked at the ‘treetops glistening’ in my backyard, I was struck by the beauty of the snow. Overnight our environment was transformed into a winter wonderland. There is just something about the change in sound, the muted silence that a blanket of snow provides that makes it feels like we have been transported. We hope you all enjoy the snow and take some time to experience the joy that it can bring. Stay warm and stay safe out there.

Winter Concert

Winter Concert Updates

Before and After School Care - Please watch for signs posted on the doors as there will be several drop off and pick up location changes for 1st Class this coming week as we prepare for our Winter Concert.

Concert Information and Updates

**Please note that the Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon concerts will begin at 1:15pm this is a change

• The Grade 3,4,5 and Senior Choir Christmas Concert will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 1:15pm and 5:30pm.
• The Grade 1 and 2 Christmas concert will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:15pm and 5:30pm.
• The Kindergarten Christmas Concert will be on Thursday, December 14, 2023 1:30pm and 5:30pm.
• The Senior Choir will also be performing at the Christmas concert on Tuesday December 12, 2023.

We would like to encourage grandparents and other friends and family members to attend the dress rehearsal for grades 3,4, 5 and choir dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 12 at 1:15pm, the Grades 1 and 2 concert on Wednesday, December 13 at 1:15pm and the kindergarten 10:00 (AM classes) and 1:30 (PM classes) in the gym.

Space in the gym is limited due to fire regulations which means we will be ticketing all the concerts this year.  Each student will receive 2 tickets.  Tickets must be presented at the door when coming for the evening performances.  We will be unable to accommodate strollers in the gym for the performances.

For the evening performance, we would like students to arrive any time after 4:45 pm and report directly to their classrooms. Parents drop off your child with his/her teacher along
with your coat and proceed to the gym.

The doors to the school will open at 4:45pm, to allow for check-in with your tickets. The concerts begin at 5:30pm sharp.

Students will remain in their classrooms after they have finished performing and will return to the gym for a grand finale. To honor and respect the work of all the students who are performing in the concert, we ask that all audience members remain seated until the end of the performance.

Students will be released from their classrooms at the conclusion of the performance.

Students are encouraged to wear their formal wear for the evening performance.

Concert Parking: We have worked with Divine Mercy School and parking is available in their staff parking lot for all 3 concert evenings. In return, our parking lot will be available to Divine Mercy Families on December 7.

There are no tickets required for our afternoon performances. Additionally, all students will see their siblings and peers perform during the afternoon performances.
