Hello Mahogany Families

February is a wonderful time to reflect on the power of empathy and the importance of working together as a team. This month offers us the chance to grow even closer as a school community, and to support each other in our shared mission of making a difference in our students' lives.

We want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the ongoing support and partnership you provide to our school community. This month offers a chance for us to focus on the importance of empathy, kindness, and working together for the well-being and success of our children. This past week we held our first ‘From the Heart’, event. It was an amazing experience bringing so many newcomers and new to Mahogany families together! We hope you were able to make some new connections and meet some people in this amazing community. For us there were many inspiring moments during this event; families who met and exchanged information, students who got to introduce their parents to each other, families who shared stories of where they came from and the incredible journey that brought them here, and so many more! The look of joy on people’s faces was truly heart-warming! The positive feedback was that this was a success and has inspired us to make this something that we will definitely be put on repeat. Making connections can be hard in the hustle and bustle of everyday events and we are glad that so many families were able to join us in pausing to connect.

With the Teachers' Convention just around the corner, our educators will be taking time to further develop their skills, learn new strategies, and bring fresh ideas back into the classroom. We are excited about the opportunities that will come from this time, and we are grateful to you for entrusting us with your children's education.

Let’s continue to support one another, celebrate each other's successes, and lift each other up during this month.

Stay warm and enjoy the weekend everyone,

❤️

Tracy and Christine
