Hello Mahogany Families
The farewells have been spoken, the hugs have been shared, the rooms are now silent with no desks or chairs. We have wrapped up a year with so many events, the days have been long and are now all behind us. A school year has so many ebbs and flows, there are busy times, dig-deep times, go with the flow times, and then suddenly we are looking towards the wrapping up of all of the work, all the relationships and our sights are set on looking forward to the new school year. Reflecting on this past year, it is easy to say that we did a lot! There were new beginnings, new friendships, classroom changes, concerts and musicals, spirit days and sports days...and so much more in the in-betweens. A year of school holds within it exponential learning. There is academic learning and then there is wellbeing and relationship learning. This is also what makes it so hard when we come to the end of the year. All of that learning is wrapped up and seems to end so quickly.
Goodbyes are hard and seem so final, so instead we say farewell...this opens the opportunity for us to cross paths again, connect and celebrate our new opportunities. In the words of A.A. Milne, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”.
Summer is the time to rest, relax and take time to re-set. Wishing you a summer filled with whatever adventures you can dream of.
Happy Summer!
❤️
Tracy and Christine
Inspiration
“The first and last day of school are the hardest for a teacher. The first day you are starting all over again. The last day you are letting go of the progress that was made. What comes in the middle is the building of a classroom community.”
