Hello Mahogany Families

Thank you for another amazing week, Mahogany! We know that May is hard and that everyone is anticipating the last week of May and June on the horizon. There is so much great work happening in all of our classes and we are grateful to have this time to see and reflect on the growth that we have seen this year.

This time of year, is so busy for families with sports and evening/weekend activities. There are late nights and early mornings and sometimes it seems like the days blend into one another. This is your reminder to take time to unplug and time for yourselves this weekend! You are your best you when you are re-charged. Enjoy the weather, get out and get some fresh air, sunshine and make sure you take care of yourselves. The next few weeks will be busy, and they will be amazing.

The kindergarten teachers will be available to visit with and answer your questions at this time. Administration and Office staff will also be available to support with any questions and technical support.

Wheel Week

"Wheel Week" is June 2 - 6.  We will kick it off with a wheel parade on June 2.  We will meet at the wetlands Amphitheater (see attached map for Amphitheater location) at 7:30am and ride our wheels over to the school.

Wheel Week is a week where students are encouraged to ride their bikes, scooters, or any wheeled devices to school for an entire week.  This event promotes physical activity and fosters a sense of community while being environmentally conscious.  By reducing the car traffic around the school, it contributes to safer streets and cleaner air.  Wheel Week encourages students to showcase their unique wheels and personalized rides.  This initiative aims to instill healthy habits, promote active transportation and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.

Students are to have a lock for their rides, wear helmets, and any other safety gear.  If we run out of bike rack spaces, students can lock their bikes to the fence.  No bikes should be left unlocked.

Leadership students will be handing out (first time ever) Mahogany pencils to all riders

School Council / Parent Society

Our next School Council Meeting will be on June 3 at 6:00pm followed by our next Fundraising Association Meeting which will follow, all parents/guardians are welcome to join! MLA Matt Jones is anticipated to be attending this meeting. We would love to have a teacher rep!
