Mahogany Messenger – May 4

Dear Mahogany Families,

Once again, thank you for helping out with swimming last week! If you were one of the volunteers who helped out the several hundred Grade 1, 4 or 5 students, please know we are grateful for the support. Our Grades 2 and 3 students are looking forward to their upcoming week. Swimming is a significant life skill to develop (especially living in a lake community) and we are thankful for the opportunity to be able to support this. This is a gentle reminder to please remember to pay your child’s swimming fees within your PowerSchool account. Thank you!

Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week

Recently at Mahogany School, we got to celebrate Support Staff Week and this week we get to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. We are very much looking forward to honoring our awesome teachers at Mahogany School and all across the CBE. If you’re able to give a shout-out through email to your child’s teacher this week, it’d mean a lot. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Shrek the Musical – Thursday Evening

We hope you are just as excited as we are around the final preparations for Shrek the Musical on Thursday. Thank you for supporting your child around this opportunity, if he or she is participating. The costumes you’ve provided, set designs you’ve helped with and overall encouragement to support actor, choir or backstage participation has contributed to the success of the show. Looking forward to seeing you Thursday evening! A few last-minute reminders:

  • Any Mahogany School student can watch the show at no cost; however, must be accompanied by an adult
  • Ticket orders will be checked at the door – thank you for your patience with this
  • Seating is not assigned inside the church
  • The show starts promptly at 6:00 PM
  • Students need to be signed out from their designated space after the show – thank you!
