Hello Mahogany Families,

Well, that was an amazing and busy week! From Elections to Musicals, Book Sales to Portables, we had a little bit of excitement across the board. I am so glad to be back in the swing of things with you all and be able to be a part of all the amazing work that is happening. Thank you to everyone for an incredible week and for all the work that has gone into all the activities and performances this week. Willy Wonka was an outstanding performance, I even had someone say, “Is this Broadway?” That is a big compliment to all our staff, students and of course Mrs. Bourgeois. Our Book Sale was also a huge success and great kick off to our upcoming Read-a-Thon next week. Thank you to all of our organizers on staff, volunteers and for all the incredible book donations! We are heading right into May, and it is hard to believe we are here already. With just a couple short months to go we still have LOTS of learning to go and so many things to celebrate to come.

Inspiration

"May is a reminder that every lesson, every moment, and every smile has brought your students closer to who they’re becoming. The finish line is in sight—finish strong, with heart." -unknown

Weekly Wonder

What things will you put in place to help you ‘become’ as we head toward the end of the school year with only two months left?

Wonka Musical

Congratulations to all of the students, teachers, and volunteers who made this production happen! It was BEYOND beautiful, organized, marvelous and fun to attend! We are so proud of our Mahogany Music Program, and of course, our very own Mrs. Bourgeois!

Bikes at the School

We are so happy that many of our students are choosing to ride their bikes and scooters, to and from school each day, during the nice weather. We would just like to remind all students that when close to the school, please do not ride on the sidewalks to ensure everyone’s safety. As a reminder, bike racks are located at the front of the school and scooter racks are located at the front and the back of the school for daily lock up.

Bus Students

Please, families of students who ride the school bus, notify the office ahead of time, if your child will not be taking the bus at the end of the school day. It can become challenging for our office to track down all students if we haven’t received a note from parents as we do attendance as they board the bus each day. Thank you for your help!
