National Child Day – November 20, 2023

• National Child Day is celebrated annually on Nov. 20. This day recognizes Canada's commitment to raising our youngest citizens with dignity and respect, so they can make meaningful contributions to their communities. It also acknowledges the United Nations Charter on the Rights of the Child.
• 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of National Child Day and this year the theme is, #EveryChildEveryRight”.

Mahogany School Council and Fundraising Association

We have some exciting fundraising opportunities coming up that we hope you will be a part of. These upcoming fundraisers provide a chance for students and parents to contribute to the school community and support various programs and initiatives.

Firstly, we are running a coffee fundraiser through Fundabl from November 10 to December 2. Each bag contains exquisite ground coffee grown in Honduras. The coffee beans are 100% USDA Certified Organic and are grown using natural processes that bring out rich flavors and aromas. The coffee will be delivered to the school by December 16th just in time for winter break.

On Monday November 20, for every pizza Paul's Pizza Shawnessy sells, they will donate $2 to the Mahogany School. They have a great selection of deep-dish pizzas and will deliver.

COBS Bread in Mahogany is also helping us fundraise. Simply mention the Mahogany School when you make a purchase, and they donate 5% of the sales back to the Mahogany School.

We are also receiving funds through Mabels Labels and Skip the Depot. If you’re looking for kids labels or have bottles to donate, don’t forget to select Mahogany School and support our fundraising efforts. If fundraising is not your thing but you would still like to contribute you can donate directly through Education Matters. Donations made through Education Matters will receive a tax receipt.

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm.
