Hello Mahogany Families!  

Wow...what a week we have had! We so appreciated meeting with you all and learning more about your children. We hope you enjoyed the food truck and community atmosphere and that you all found something to love at the book fair. As we head into October we hope that you all have had a great start up and a fantastic first chapter of our Mahogany story this year. Monday is a non-instructional day as we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Monday will be an opportunity to reflect and connect. There are many ways to participate in as we like to say at Mahogany, reconciliACTIONS. If you are looking for ideas please check our CBE website as well as through the City of Calgary.

Updates and Administrivia

Demographic Forms 

Demographic forms were due September 20. Please ensure you have gone into your MyCBE account and confirmed your demographic forms for the 2024-2025 school year – this is an annual form. 

Terry Fox Run

We will be holding our Terry Fox run on Friday, October 4. This year we will be holding two run times for our classes to accommodate numbers. 

​​​​​​​Run #1 9:00am Grades 1, 3, and5

Run #2 10:30am Kindergarten, Grades 2, and 4

We will begin with an Assembly then we will head outside to run for 30 minutes. Families are welcome to join the cheering - please find a space on the outside perimiter of the field.

Toonies for Terry - We are raising funds once again this year with an overall school goal of $2000. Donations are made online!

School Council / Parent Society

Our next School Council Meeting will be on October 8, 2024, at 6:00pm at Mahogany School followed by our first Fundraising Association Meeting which will be held in person at Mahogany School All parents/guardians are welcome to join! Doors will be open at 5:45pm. Please join us in the Gathering Space.
